Smart Gold Calc (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is operated for jewelry price quotes and invoice management. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Summary

• The web calculator on this site runs in your browser. We do not store your calculator inputs on our servers.
• The Android app may use Google sign-in, cloud sync, and in-app purchases. Those services have their own privacy practices.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

Android app (when you sign in)

• Account: Google account identifier, email, and display name via Firebase Authentication.
• Profile settings: Theme, language, and subscription status stored in Firebase Firestore under your user ID.
• Wallet data: Jewelry quotes and invoice details you save, synced to Firestore when cloud sync is enabled.
• Purchases: Subscription status via RevenueCat and Google Play (we do not receive your payment card details).

Automatically collected

• Usage analytics: We use Google Analytics (via Firebase on the app and GA4 on this website) to understand page views, feature usage, and store link clicks. Data is aggregated and used to improve the product.
• Technical logs: Firebase and hosting providers may log IP address, device type, and crash reports for reliability and security.
• Live prices: The app and website fetch public market data from third-party APIs (e.g. CoinGecko). Those requests go directly from your device or browser to the provider.

How we use data

• Authenticate you and sync your wallet across devices
• Provide live spot prices and calculator features
• Manage Pro subscriptions and restore purchases
• Improve stability and fix bugs

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database & app analytics
• Google Analytics — website & app usage (linked GA4 property)
• Google Play — app distribution & billing
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• CoinGecko — public bullion price proxies (website & app fallbacks)

Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies.

Data retention & deletion

Wallet and profile data remain until you delete it in the app or delete your account. You may request deletion by contacting us at support@smartgoldcalc.com.

Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted local storage on device, and Firebase security rules so only you can access your cloud data. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
